Working with the Montague family, specifically Aleah, has been one of the best experiences I’ve had as a photographer. This black-owned company, Meat the Mushroom (started by a husband and wife team: Marvin & Aleah) has set out to change the game and provide the market with a high-quality, delicious alternative to bacon, Shroomacon. My goal was to provide the brand with elevated, professional-grade product photography for their website and social channels.
This in-studio shoot was inspired by the wholesome process of making Shroomacon and the five simple ingredients that turn an organic, nourishing mushroom into a crispy, healthy snack and meal staple. Meat the Mushroom invested in our full service, studio styling and photography services and trusted the creative process, a privilege I don’t take lightly.
